What is personal data and what is a processing of personal data?
“Personal data” is every information that directly or indirectly can be used to identify a natural person. It's not just restricted to name and social security number but can also be pictures, e-mail addresses and IP-number.
Processing of personal data covers every processing of the personal data in IT systems, regardless of mobile devices or computers. Categories of personal data, purpose and the legal basis for the processing of your personal data
Information to customers and suppliers regarding processing of personal data
Setra collects data such as company name, address, contact name, e-mail address, telephone number. In these situations we process your personal data in order to fulfill the agreement with you which is the legal basis for the processing.
In addition, we may use the personal data to electronically or physically be able to send marketing such as newsletters, customer magazines, etc. or to perform customer tracking. The legal basis for this processing is based on a legitimate interest.
Information to candidates in recruitment processes regarding processing of personal data
The personal data we process concerning candidates is based on the information provided by the candidates to Setra via our web service or through direct contact with any of Setra's staff. It may be personal data such as name, address, email address, social security number, rating, certificate, education, work experience, results from tests or reference and background data. We do this on the legal basis that we have a legitimate interest in being able to contact candidates that have showed interest in working with us. You can at any time choose to unsubscribe by contacting us at the email address further down on this page.
To whom do we transfer personal data?
Setra will not sell, disclose or transfer personal data to third parties except when necessary for the execution and providing the service, such as providers of technical support, operating IT systems. In cases where Setra transfers personal data to subcontractors, actions are taken to ensure that personal data are still protected under applicable data privacy legislation.
We take reasonable technical, organizational and legal security measures in accordance with applicable data privacy laws in order to ensure that your personal data is handled securely when transferring or sharing personal data with third parties.
We may collaborate with suppliers outside of EU/EES, which means that your personal data may be processed outside of EU/EES. For the event that we decide to collaborate with a supplier outside of EU/EES, we will make sure that it is either a country which the European Commission has ensured keeps an adequate level of protection, that the processing is subject to appropriate safeguards, that we have a binding agreement with the supplier based on EU’s standard clauses, or, if the supplier is located in the US, that the supplier has joined the EU-US Privacy Shield framework.
For how long do we store the personal data?
How long a personal data will be stored depends on what category of personal data it is and the purpose of the processing. Setra does not save personal data for longer than what is necessary in respect to the purposes for which they were collected, if nothing else is provided by law.
