Kommersiellt sett väntas arkitekturbiennalen bidra till att öka intresset för Setras satsningar på KL-trä, korslimmat trä, och på de komponenter som kan användas till dörrar och fönster.
– Efterfrågan på KL-trä har tagit fart ordentligt under de senaste åren och i dag vill allt fler använda det både i flerbostadshus och industrifastigheter, säger Anna-Lena Gull projektledare för KL-trä på Setra. Setra bjuder in till seminarium, diskussion och nätverkande där bland annat experterna Kristian Haglund, expert på LCA, ByggPartner, Ricardo Ramirez, forskare Dalarna universitet och Andreas Falk, forskare på KTH deltar.
– Vi finns med för att lära oss och dela med oss av vår kunskap. Hur kan vi bäst hjälpa arkitekter, designers och konstruktörer i deras materialval. Att få tillgång till nya nätverk är en förutsättning för att säkerställa vår långsiktiga konkurrenskraft, säger Setras vd Hannele Arvonen.
Arkitekturbiennalen genomförs vartannat år och brukar locka hundratusentals internationella besökare till Venedig. 2018 års utställning invigdes i slutet av maj och pågår till slutet av november. Den svenska satsningen kretsar denna gång kring hur arkitekter kan arbeta med trä och hur det går att använda nya tekniker för att bygga i trä.
